  Today, on January 24 Zurab Alavidze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia met representatives of EU-Georgia Business Council member companies.     On September 27,  EUGBC took part at the public round table meeting on the topic of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (the DCFTA) held between the representatives of business associations, international donor organizations, the EU delegation and members of the Government.

  Newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Georgia, H.E. Shabtai Tsur met EUGBC members on September 22. Both sides discussed perspectives of strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

First Edition includes information about 40 companies, which operates in energy, banking sector, services, consulting, transit, trades, manufacture, agriculture etc.  The Business Catalogue includes information about large, moderate and small local business’s, their activities and future perspectives.

EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Mr. Johannes Hahn visited Georgia in the framework of the 6th Eastern Partnership Informal Ministerial Dialogue throughout 25-28 November 2015.

  23 June 2015 The BP Foundation has committed to donate $50,000 to the Georgian Red Cross in the wake of heavy flooding in Tbilisi, Georgia on 13 June 2015. The contribution from the BP Foundation through the Red Cross will go toward providing relief assistance to those affected.

On May 13-14 Tbilisi hosted EBRD Annual Meeting & Business Forum. About 2,000 delegates, among them government delegations from over 60 countries and business executives gathered for a two-day Meeting and Business Forum.

On April 3, 2015 EUGBC Secretary General hosted Mr. Neil Allen, Executive Director of International Development & Engagement Network (IDEN).

On April 2, 2015 EUGBC organized regular Site Visit to its member company Rustavi Metallurgical Plant (RMP). Ambassadors and Economic/Trade Councellors from the embassies took part at the visit.

On April 1, 2015 EUGBC organized EUGBC Borad members’ meeting with Economic/ Trade Counselors based in EU MS embassies in Georgia.

On March 30, EUGBC Secretariat met with representative of Tbilisi State University Center for Analysis and Forecast. During the meeting the TSU representatives spoke about their activities and missions.

On March 26, 2015 EUGBC Secretary General Zviad Chumburidze met with Globus Vision representatives: Project Director Tatyana Von Pannwitz and Editorial Director Anthony Serra. The meeting was held at EUGBC office. During the meeting the sides expressed readiness to cooperation in future.

On 20, March 2015 EUGBC met with “Alvani” cooperative representative from Kakheti region Mrs. Lia Mapiashvili.

The EU-Georgia Business council (EUGBC), in the framework of the project supported by the European Union, organized a seminar “Prospects of EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA”.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Mrs. Tamar Beruchashvili held a meeting with EUGBC Board Members on March 12, 2015. Mrs. Beruchashvili welcomed EUGBC representatives to the Ministry and informed them on the current state of EU-Georgia political and economic developments in the run-up of Eastern Partnership Riga Summit.

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey Business Forum was held in Batumi on March 6, 2014. The Forum was organized by National Investment Agency of Georgia.   EUGBC was engaged to accomplish following dimensions during 2014:

EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) hosted Ambassador Janos Herman, Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia on January 13. The meeting was attended by representatives of fifteen Georgian as well as European companies.
