EUGBC Chairman of Board and Secretary General met with the State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Alex Petriashvili

 

On June 18th, 2013 the Chairman of EUGBC Board, Emanuel Haton and the General Secretary met with the State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Alex Petriashvili. The sides discussed the issues concerning Association Agreement with the EU and its integral part Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreement. The State Minister pointed out that Georgia attachesparticular importance to the economic integration with the European Union, and trade-related reforms are underway in all areas. Also, the process of harmonization with the EU legislation is developing actively.

Emanuel Haton noted that the EU-Georgia Business Council is interested in supporting the process of exporting of Georgian goods to the EU market. He also noted that one of the priorities of EUGBC is supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses. During the meeting, it was also mentioned that EUGBC plans to open its representative office in Tbilisi.
