EUGBC organized first Georgian-Finnish business forum
The EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) with close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, organized the first Georgian-Finnish business forum on June 5, 2017. Within the framework of the event, representatives of 15 large Finnish companies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and the Finnish-Georgian Trade Association visited Tbilisi.
Business Forum was opened by Secretary General of EUGBC, Zviad Chumburidze and Ambassador of Finland to Georgia, Arja Makkonen. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Genady Arveladze and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Revaz Asatiani also addressed the audience. The forum aimed at promoting Georgia’s investment potential, establishing contacts between Georgian and Finnish companies and thus deepening trade relations between the two countries. World leading Finnish companies represented the following areas: Energy, bioenergy, gas and oil, construction, pharmaceutical and medical services, logistics, security systems,logistics, mining and processing of minerals, meteorological technologies, chemical substances, and nuclear and radiation detectors.
After the forum, the company Sarajishvili hosted the attendees of the business forum. Representatives of business delegation get acquainted with the history and unique collection of Georgian company with great traditions. The excursion was followed by special reception.
