EUGBC Secretary General, Ambassador Zviad Chumburidze met with the Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Georgia
On October 3, 2013, EUGBC Secretary General, Ambassador Zviad Chumburidze and Executive Director, Tamar Khuntsaria held a meeting with the Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Georgia, Fady Asly. The meeting was held at EUGBC office in Tbilisi. The meeting was of an introductory character. Mr. Chumburidze informed Mr. Asly about the current activities and future plans of EUGBC. Secretary General noted that close cooperation between ICC Georgia and EUGBC is important as there are mutual interests and goals of supporting the growth and development of business community in Georgia.
Fady Asly pointed out that ICC Georgia has a history of very positive cooperation with EUGBC. He stressed that such cooperation shall continue and even deepen in the future. Mr. Asly also spoke on the planned activities and projects of ICC Georgia.
Executive Director, Tamar Khuntsaria noted that ICC Georgia, together with other partner business associations, is a member of EUGBC Working Group on DCFTA. Ms. Khuntsaria emphasized the importance of active operation of the Working Group with the involvement of all counterparts given that the political process on Association Agreement/DCFTA between EU and Georgia has entered a significant phase.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation for the benefit of both institutions.
