EUGBC announcement on the appointment of a new Secretary General and Executive Director
Upon the decision of the Board of Directors of EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC), Ambassador Zviad Chumburidze has been appointed on the position of EUGBC Secretary General from 1st of June, 2013. Mr. Chumburidze has served in Georgian foreign office for about 23 year, since 1990.He was Deputy Foreign Minister in 2000-2002 and served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Athens (2003-2007) and Budapest (March 2009- March 2013). With the decision of the EUGBC Board, Mrs. Tamar Khuntsaria was appointed on the position of EUGBC Executive Director from 1st of June 2013. Ms. Khuntsaria has been a Country Representative of EUGBC since 2008. Her professional experience counts more than 15 years as a manager and director of various development programs at international and non-governmental organizations in Georgia. Mr. Konstantin Zaldastanishvili, former Brussels-based Secretary General of EUGBC has left the position on 1st of May 2013 as being appointed Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Austria, Permanent Representative of Georgia to OSCE and other International Organisations accredited in Vienna. Mr. Zaldastanishvili has been the Secretary General of EUGBC since its foundation in 2006 and has contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Council.
