On 22 January 2014, EUGBC held a working lunch with Dirk Schuebel, Head of Division for Eastern Partnership in the EEAS. The meeting was hosted by the Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Ambassador Philip Dimitrov at his residence. Working lunch from the EU side was also attended by Deputy Head of the Mission, Boris Iarochevitch and other members of the EUDelegation. From EUGBC side Secretary General Ambassador Zviad Chumburidze, Executive Director Tamar Khuntsaria, Board Vice-Chairman David Lee (Magticom), Board Members: Giga Chirakadze (UGT), Nika Gvinadze (Gvinadze & Partners LLC) and EUGBC Member Nikoloz Khundzagishvili (EFES Brewery in Georgia, JSC LOMISI) took part in the meeting.

During the meeting parties discussed broad spectrum of issues. Mr. Schuebel was interested to know business and political environment in Georgia. The Secretary General and Board members provided detailed information. EUGBC members discussed the importance of signing the Association Agreement with its integral part – DCFTA, which is the top political priority for the Government of Georgia.
