The EUGBC together with the Business Association of Georgia, US Chamber of Commerce in Georgia, Association of Banks of Georgia, International Chamber of Commerce in Georgia, Georgian Employers’ Association signs the Memorandum of Understanding. Close cooperation with the government, society, businesses and non-governmental sector is anticipated in the Memorandum in order to resolve the following four important issues:

• Partial de-criminalization and differentiation of tax-related offences;
• Reform of the investigation department of the Ministry of Finance;
• Development of effective mechanisms for the review of tax disputes;
• Improvement of the mechanism of tax inspection.
