EUGBC Secretary General’s working visit to Cyprus
On January 17-18, 2022, within the framework of working visit to Cyprus, EUGBC Secretary General, Zviad Chumburidze and ambassador of Georgia to Cyprus, Temur Kekelidze held meetings with Marios Tsiakkis, Secretary General and Leonidas Paschalidis Deputy Secretary General of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Secretary General Tsiakkis presented Mr. Menelaos Xenophontis (CCCI) as Cyprus-Georgian business forum coordinator.
During the meeting the sides discussed the ways for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, emphasizing the importance of joining efforts.
According to the discussion it has been agreed to organize “Cyprus-Georgia Business Forum” in Nicosia tentatively in October 2022, depending on pandemic situation.
Secretary General Chumburidze and ambassador Kekelidze met with Loizos Markides, Honorary Consul of Georgia in Limassol and discussed technical issues related to above-mentioned Business Forum. Honorary Consul expressed his readiness to support the project.
Besides above-mentioned meetings Secretary General and ambassador met Cezary Zieniuk, Managing Director of IBC Corporate Solutions Ltd. During discussion Mr. Zieniuk expressed his will to be the General Partner of the event.
EUGBC Secretary General and Mr. Zieniuk agreed to continue discussions in Georgia, on February 8th, at EUGBC office.
