Signing the memorandum of Understanding
On January 22, 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Exporters and Investors Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC).
The document was signed on behalf of the Ukrainian side by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia Ihor Dolhov, and on behalf of the EUGBC by the Secretary General Zviad Chumburidze.
By signing the memorandum, the parties reaffirmed the importance of close cooperation between the two countries in various areas of common interest, especially in the fields of trade and economy.
The objectives of the memorandum amongst the others are the following: to strengthen business relations and promote economic cooperation between the two countries’ organizations; organizing investment and business-related events, including exhibitions, missions and conferences; strategic business connections between business circles, incentives for visits, meetings, and other types of connections between individuals and enterprises of the two countries; as well as promoting the implementation of joint projects.
