The Chairman of EUGBC Board paid an official visit to Tbilisi
On 15-16 October 2013, the Chairman of EUGBC Board, Director of European Government Affairs at BP Europe, Emmanuel Haton paid an official visit to Tbilisi. During the visit Mr. Haton held meetings with the government officials, diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia and business community. Meetings were held with the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Michael Janelidze and the Head of the National Investment Agency of Georgia, Giorgi Pertaia.
In addition, the Chairman visited Natakhtari Brewery (Efes), where he attended the company presentation and participated in the degustation of Efes-Georgia beers and lemonades.
During the two-day visit, Mr. Haton also chaired the EUGBC Board meeting in Tbilisi, where the Council’s long term strategy and action plan were discussed.
On the occasion of the Chairman’s visit and the opening of EUGBC Office in Tbilisi, the Council gave an official reception on October 15th. Representatives of the government, diplomatic corps and business community attended the event. At the reception opening remarks were delivered by the EUGBC Secretary General, Ambassador Zviad Chumburidze, Chairman of EUGBC Board Emmanuel Haton, First Deputy Foreign Minister, Davit Zalkaliani, Deputy Foreign Minister, Davit Jalagania, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Michael Janelidze, and Head of the EU Delegation to Georgia, Ambassador Philip Dimitrov.
