Dentons raises €385,000 to fund emergency aid for Ukrainian people

March 14, 2022 – Global law firm Dentons has raised more than €385,000 in donations through its registered charitable foundation, the Dentons Europe Foundation, to fund emergency relief for Ukrainian families and children displaced by the war. The fund includes donations from Dentons people and offices around the world. 

The Dentons Europe Foundation has already dispersed donations totaling €120,000 to 16 NGOs in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany, which are providing emergency aid on the ground to assist children and families in Ukraine and those fleeing the war. The organizations include:

Dentons is continuing its fundraising efforts.The Europe Foundation Board meets regularly to agree the distribution of additional funds to provide urgent humanitarian relief.

Support to Dentons Ukraine

Dentons’ leadership is in regular contact with the team in Ukraine and is providing colleagues and their families with any possible assistance, including financial support, transport, relocation, accommodation in Ukraine and the neighboring countries, as well as trauma and psychological counselling. 

Pro bono

Dentons is providing pro bono legal advice to several NGOs, mainly in the countries which share a border with Ukraine, which are helping Ukrainian civilians displaced by the war. The Firm is assisting with issues related to employment law, contracts, establishment of charitable foundations, and other related issues
