On 23-25 April, EUGBC, in cooperation with the Embassy of Georgia to Germany, Consulate General of Georgia in Frankfurt and relevant local chambers of commerce, organized a visit of the Georgian delegation to Germany.

 

On April 23, in the frames of the visit, the Business Conference has held, in Berlin, with participation of up to 80 business sector representatives. At the event, the guests had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the export products and services offered by the Georgian companies, as well as get detailed information about the opportunities for investing in the country. Following the conference, bilateral meetings (B2B) were held between the interested parties, discussing potential cooperation. Georgian Wine and Products expo was also held in the framework of the event in Berlin.

 

 

 

In addition, the Georgian-German Business Forum was held in Frankfurt on April 25, 2024. About 60 representatives of Georgian and German companies from various sectors participated in the Forum. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, and the State Secretary of the Federal state of Hesse, Michael Ruhl, delivered opening remarks. The Forum was followed by bilateral meetings (B2B) between the companies, as well as Georgian wine tasting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) organized a meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, H.E. Ernst Peter Fischer and representatives of the business sector.
During the meeting, the prospects for the development of economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed; In addition, information was exchanged regarding the upcoming Georgian-German business forums, to be held on April 23-25, in Berlin and Frankfurt respectively, which are organized by EUGBC, in cooperation with the Embassy of Georgia in Germany and the General Consulate in Frankfurt, with the support of the relevant German Chambers of Commerce.

EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC), with the support of the USAID Economic Governance Program, held an event within the framework of the Black Sea Platform initiative on the topic – the role of international financial institutions in the transport and logistics sector.
The representatives of the country’s transport and logistics sector received comprehensive information about the sector-related initiatives and projects of international financial institutions operating in Georgia, as well as loan and grant opportunities, and the importance of international certification in the field of transport and logistics.
