On February 28 held EUGBC Annual Members’ Meeting, which was attended by Head of Regional Representation for the South Caucasus European Investment Bank. Mr. Maciej CZURA and Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation to Georgia, Mr. Carlo Natale.

At the meeting the attendees discussed a number of important issues and future projects for the business sector, including the EU-Georgia Transmission Line project initiated by EUGBC and Gross Energy Group in the beginning of 2018, which will significantly enhance Georgia’s role 
in strengthening Energy Security of the EU. Zviad Chumburidze, General Secretary of the Business Council presented the project initiated by EUGBC, which implies establishment of a monitoring commission on business disputes.

The meeting was followed by the presentations of new member companies of EUGBC. Chairman of EUGBC Board of Directors, Mr. Chris Schlueter presented new business catalog, EUGBC Business Line 2019, which aims to promote Georgian business sector and to discuss existing business environment in the country. From the day of restoration of independence, Georgia has encountered difficulties, progressed economically and is still developing. Over the last decades, efforts of a small number of existing Georgian business companies have clearly shown us that in the near future Georgia may become a country adhering to modern European standards. Achieving this goal is a difficult process, but by joining forces and efforts, Georgia may become a leading country in the region.
