“Eu-Georgia Business Council” Executive Director, Giorgi Kacharava participated in “Energo Week Georgia 2020”, held on January 28-29. EUGBC is one of the knowledge partners of the event.
Energy Week Georgia 2020 comprises of a 2-day Congress focused on the most important questions faced by Georgia pursuing the policy of strengthening energy independence, such as the Government incentives and support of the investment projects, the future growth of hydropower, alternative energy projects, transmission networks, distribution markets, energy efficiency, market liberalization and legislative reforms. On the 3rd day of the event, the Technical visits (Qartli Wind Farm and Zhinvali HPP) are planned for a group of international participants.
The event will bring together around 250 high-level guests representing both state and private sectors of Georgia, international financial institutions as well as foreign private investors from 15+ countries.
The high-level international investment event is officially supported by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

The Secretary General of EU-Georgian Business Council Mr. Zviad Chumburidze took part in the meeting, held by Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia.

On October 17, the EU-Georgia Business Council organized a site visit at Wine Factory # 1, attended by diplomats accredited in Georgia, representatives of the media and business circles.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the guests about the history of Wine Factory # 1 as one of the unique cultural monuments of Tbilisi.
The program was aimed at touring the plant area, giving speeches, presentations and wine tasting.
Zviad Chumburidze, Secretary General of the Council and Marketing and Communications Director of Factory # 1 – Alexander Kakulia addressed the public.
The presentation, given by the company covered the history of the plant and its future projects.
