EUGBC organized a Seminar in Batumi on the “Prospects of EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA – with the support of the EU Delegation
EU-Georgia Business Council (EUGBC) with support of EU Delegation in Georgia organized a seminar on the “Prospects of EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA – Discussing tariff and non-tariff barriers in the trade with the EU”. The seminar was held on 2nd of October, at Sheraton Batumi Hotel. The opening speech was delivered by EUGBC Secretary General Zviad Chumburidze. The overall goal of the seminar was to inform Georgian producers from Adjara/Guria regions on the important issues of accessing the EU market, such as:
Tariff barriers in the trade with the EU;
Mutual recognition agreements;
Technical barriers in international trade: WTO and TBT agreements;
EU requirements and implications for Georgia.
During the seminar information was provided on EUGBC Expo and Economic Photo Exhibition planned in Vienna in November 19, 2014.
Presentation on “Prospects of EU-Georgia Association Agreement/DCFTA – Discussing tariff and non-tariff barriers in the trade with the EU” was delivered by Expert Kakha Gogolashvili, member of EUGBC Council of Experts.
The Seminar was attended by regional business and media representatives, local authorities, EUGBC member companies. The seminar was followed by Q&A session.
The seminar was free of charge and opened to public. All interested companies and individuals were invited to participate.
