Dentons is pleased to announce the hire of senior associate Mariam Vashakidze to the Banking and Finance team in Tbilisi. In her new role, she will focus on project finance, banking, capital markets and general commercial transactions.

She joins Dentons from Georgian law firm BLB, where she worked as a senior associate since 2013. Prior to that, she worked as a legal advisor at the State Representation to the International Courts of Human Rights, at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

Vashakidze has significant experience in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, investments and project finance, labor law and business disputes. She is recognized as one of Georgia’s most promising up-and-coming lawyers by legal directories Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500.

She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Law, with Honors, and holds a Master’s Degree in International Law with honors from Tbilisi State University. She earned her LL.M. in Public International Law, with merit, from King’s College London, School of Law in the United Kingdom.
