Meeting with H.E. Hans P.P.M. Horbach, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

On 14 April, 2014, EUGBC held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Hans P.P.M. Horbach. The meeting was hosted at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tbilisi. The meeting was attended by the EUGBC Secretary General Ambassador Zviad Chumburidze, Executive Director Tamar Khuntsaria, the First Vice Chairman of EUGBC Board Badri Japaridze and other EUGBC members.

EUGBC Secretary General informed the Ambassador on the activities and projects planned by the Council. The Association Agreement (DCFTA) and Netherland-Georgia bilateral relations were also discussed by the sides.

H.E. Hans P.P.M. Horbach spoke about the importance of the economic relations between the two countries as well as highlighted investment interests towards Georgia. He also covered the ongoing projects implemented in Georgia by the Dutch side and spoke about Dutch companies operating in Georgia.

EUGBC Secretary General underlined the EUGBC readiness in promoting relations between Georgian and Dutch businesses and the importance of sharing experience particularly in agricultural sector.

During the meeting the sides underlined that the development of contacts between business companies will further economic ties and contribute to the development of Georgian economy, bilateral trade and investments.

At the end of the meeting the sides spoke on The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes which of great importance for the agriculture and business sectors in Georgia.

It was agreed that a regular dialogue and cooperation between EUGBC and the Dutch Embassy will continue in future.
