EUGBC Seminar – “Georgian and EU Legislative Requirements on Food Safety”
A two day seminar – “Georgian and EU Legislative Requirements on Food Safetyā€¯ was organized by Eurasia Partnership Foundation on September 3-4, in Akhaltsikhe (Samtskhe Javakheti Region of Georgia).
Following were the topics discussed at the seminar: Georgian and EU legislative requirements on food safety, food safety system development stages in food producing industry,Georgian and EU legislative requirements on customer rights protection, EU-Georgia trade and economic relations (present and future trade regimes) and what Georgian exporters should know to access EU market.
EUGBC was actively involved in the seminar – presentations on EU-Georgia trade relations and what Georgian exporters should know to access EU market was delivered by EUGBC Trade Expert, Mr. Alexander Khvtisiashvili. In addition, the seminar participants received EUGBC leaflets and all three publications regarding EU-Georgia trade issues published by EUGBC in the scope of its EU supported project. A banner with the EUGBC and EU logos was also displayed in the conference room.
Seminar was free and it was open to all interested parties.
Around 35 small and medium enterprises from the region participated.
