Leading European, American and Russian brands, such as Best Western Hotels and Resorts, INVITRO, KANZLER, Southern Fried Chicken, Shokoladnitsa, Baskin Robins, 5.10.15 and others, presented their franchise models at the Expo.

“The Expo was aimed to bring as more popular brands as possible to the Georgian market. It has great significance to the country as more best quality services will be available for consumers. Besides new international brands will attract investments and create new job opportunities”, – stated Giorgi Cherkezishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

“This event is very important not only for Georgia, but for the whole Transcaucasian Region as well. We are all interested in international brands to be presented in our countries”, – said Nino Chikovani, President of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

BUYBRAND Transcaucasia was accompanied by the BUSINESS FORUM, where the Top Officials of the world leading franchising companies, experts and advisors on franchising and partner business participated as speakers.

“There has been no active development of franchising as a form of doing business over the past 25 years in countries of the Transcaucasian Region. However, the capacity of the market of the Transcaucasian Region suggests that in the next 5 years, about 1,000 franchise enterprises can be opened in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, where up to 15,000 people will be employed, and their contribution to the GDP of countries may be 1.5–2%. That is why Transcaucasia Region is very attractive for international franchise brands”, commented organizer of the Exhibition Ekaterina Soyak.

According to the participants of the expo, they were mostly satisfied with the negotiations they had held at BUYBRAND Transcaucasia and it is expected that over 60% of them will sign franchise contracts with local entrepreneurs by the end of 2017.
