On August 30-31, the EU-Georgia Business Council organized a seminar on the program of authorized economic operators and customs formalities in Telavi. 
The seminar was held within the framework of the USAID Economic Governance Program grant “Support the Capacity Building of the NCTF Through Promoting Awareness on the AEO Program, Customs Interactions and Formalities”, with the support of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
Representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the USAID Economic Governance Program took part in the mentioned event, as well as exporter companies. The Institute of Authorized Economic Operator was introduced by the Revenue Service of Georgia in accordance with the terms of the Association Agreement signed between the European Union and Georgia, which is based on the partnership between the Revenue Service and business.

In addition, within the framework of the seminar, the business sector was provided with information about the ongoing reforms implemented by the Ministry of Finance and the main customs formalities of Georgia in order to promote international trade.
