EUGBC top Management and Member companies took part at the Georgian-Austrian Business Forum held On November 5, 2019.
Within the framework of the visit of 9 Austrian companies delegation to Georgia, the Forum was organized by the Austrian Foreign Trade Representation (Advantage Austria) and supported by the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Secretary General of EU-Georgian Business Council Mr. Zviad Chumburidze took part in the meeting, held by Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia.
The Head of Government emphasized the role of business in economic growth and employment, and pointed out the critical significance of maintaining rapid and effective communication in order to ensure fast response to challenges. According to the Prime Minister, meeting was aimed to identify problems and find ways to solve them. Every issue requiring short-term solutions, the Head of Government pledged, will be solved effectively by the Government.
In turn, The Associations raised some problematic issues related to Business sector in Georgia.
On October 17, the EU-Georgia Business Council organized a site visit at Wine Factory # 1, attended by diplomats accredited in Georgia, representatives of the media and business circles.
The purpose of the meeting was to inform the guests about the history of Wine Factory # 1 as one of the unique cultural monuments of Tbilisi.
The program was aimed at touring the plant area, giving speeches, presentations and wine tasting.
Zviad Chumburidze, Secretary General of the Council and Marketing and Communications Director of Factory # 1 – Alexander Kakulia addressed the public.
The presentation, given by the company covered the history of the plant and its future projects.
